The U.S. Department of Defense introduced the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) program to help secure the U.S. defense industry supply chain and safeguard FCI and CUI data. Accordingly, the practices and processes outlined in CMMC signal the need for organizations that are part of the defense industrial base (DIB) to become more security conscious.
