NIST 800-171

Auditing Q&A

Featuring John Ellis, Director of the Software Division at the Defense Contract Management Agency

Webinar Q&A: NIST 800-171 Auditing

The recent DFARS Interim Rule places a major emphasis on NIST 800-171.

A recent update to DFARS 252.204-7012 requires companies that contract with the DoD to conduct a NIST 800-171 self-assessment and upload it to the DoD's Supplier Risk Performance System (SPRS) -- before new contracts are awarded or existing contracts are extended.

On November 8, Celerium and Steptoe & Johnson LLP sponsored a webinar with John Ellis from DoD's Defense Contract Management Agency. Click here to view the recording, which also featured Tommy McDowell, General Manager of Celerium, and legal experts from Steptoe & Johnson LLP.

We got so many great questions for Mr. Ellis during the November webinar that we weren't able to answer all of them. We're excited to offer a follow up Q&A webinar with Mr. Ellis on December 8 at 1 PM Eastern/10 AM Pacific! Register today for this informative time, and be sure to submit any questions you have.

Celerium also has a free NIST 800-171 assessment tool available.
