From Conversations to Action: Reflections from Health-ISAC Mission Driven Fall Forum

The Celerium team attended the 2025 Health-ISAC Mission Driven Fall Forum in Carlsbad, CA, to connect with industry leaders, the top CISOs, and security experts in the healthcare sector. We were thrilled to attend, share our insights, and be part of the conversation!

Celerium’s Chief Information Security Officer, Vince Crisler, Chief Solutions Officer, Karl Kotalik, Executive Advisor, Jeffrey Vinson, Senior Account Executive, Kevin Harding, and Director of Technical Sales, Jon Marinaro, were our team members who attended.

Event Highlights

Our CISO, Vince Crisler, had the opportunity to present “Data Breach Weekend Watch: Advanced Strategies for Holiday Cybersecurity Preparedness.” With a packed room of 100+ attendees, the session covered timely, high-risk challenges healthcare organizations face during evenings, weekends, and holiday slowdowns, when cyber attackers are most active, and defenses are often weakest. Vince also discussed blind spots in healthcare networks related to challenges with EDR/MDR deployment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Vince highlighted:

  • The background and mission of Celerium and our Data Breach Defender™ solution
  • Why holiday weekends are a prime target environment
  • How our Weekend Watch Program began
  • How healthcare organizations can implement the program to strengthen cyber posture

A key takeaway of Vince’s presentation is that if organizations are still operating with an “if” we get breached mindset, it’s already too late. The mindset must shift to “when” and preparation must reflect that reality.

Vince also received a special shout-out from John King at Optum, a great moment and recognition of the urgency and value of this work.

Conversations That Matter

We had engaging and informative conversations with several cyber leaders about how our Data Breach Defense Program can help enhance their cyber and compliance programs to better safeguard patient data. We had engaging discussions with key leaders from Health-ISAC, such as their President, Denise Anderson. We had discussions with their Chief Security Officer, Errol Weiss, and VP of Medical Device Security, Phil Englert. One of the most interesting discussions was on mergers and acquisitions, led by Joe Partlow, the CTO of ReliaQuest. This session provided insight as to how Celerium can be positioned to help companies during these most crucial times when merging organizations have different security postures.

These candid conversations reinforced why Celerium launched the Data Breach Defender™ solution to improve data breach defense for hospitals and healthcare organizations.  Data Breach Defender helps organizations detect, contain, and stop breaches before they cause harm.

Thank You, Health-ISAC

A special thanks to the Health-ISAC leaders, whom we enjoyed meeting. Thank you for making the event so engaging and terrific!
